Dear Loyal Customers.
As you will be aware, the last few years have been difficult for our industry. This has seen significant contraction across the board, with hive numbers and the number of commercial beekeeping operations declining.
In light of market conditions, we have reviewed how our business can continue to operate sustainably and viably, while continuing to offer the excellent products that are synonymous with the Ecrotek brand and the outstanding Customer Service we pride ourselves on. Through this process, it has become clear that operating branches in two locations is not economically viable at the present time. This means we have made the difficult decision to close the Christchurch Branch. Branch closure is a last resort and the Team are well aware of the implications this will have for all customers. We understand this will be disappointing news for our loyal supporters. We thank you for your ongoing support and hope to be back with a branch in Christchurch, when the industry can support it.
What this means for our customers:
- The branch will remain open as normal until May 2024. An exact branch closure date will be communicated in due course.
- Ecrotek remains committed to servicing all commercial and hobbyist customers in the South Island through locally based Customer Service personnel, the website platform and Key Account relationship managers for commercial operators.
- Customers can continue to contact their Key Account Manager or the 0800 number, which will continue to be serviced by Melissa and supported by the Customer Service Team.
- Although the structure will change, we will continue with our efforts in providing the best product, with the most competitive rates possible to all of our customers.
